Alison M. McCarthy

Alison M. McCarthy joined Mickenberg, Dunn & Smith, PLC, in the winter of 2015. Alison’s practice includes criminal defense, family law, foreclosure defense, workers’ compensation, and personal injury. Alison is also a Vermont Bar Association certified Foreclosure Mediator. Prior to joining the firm, Alison practiced at Kissane Associates in St. Albans and in Colorado.

Alison attended law school at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she was a staff editor for the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and Secretary for the Colorado Legal Association of Women. After graduating from law school in 2011, Alison was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2012 and the Vermont bar in 2014.

Alison grew up in Charlotte, Vermont, attending Charlotte Central School and Champlain Valley Union High School. Prior to becoming an attorney, Alison attended Oxford University in 2004, and graduated from the University of Vermont in 2006 as a Phi Beta Kappa Scholar.

In her free time Alison loves to ski, kayak, play golf, and hike with her dogs; Sophia a Golden Retriever, and an Australian Shepherd named Kipling.
